In continuing our investigation into how Tren De Aragua is being utilized by foreign intelligence services and can operate as an organized group or through organized cells in the United States. The most recent nightclub in Colorado shed some light on some previous Tren De Aragua connections that the Venezuelan government used. The recent article from the Miami Herald highlighted the objectives of the Maduro Regime and gave us insight into how Tren De Aragua is being deployed. In any case, a large clandestine operation will require support from a foreign intelligence branch. While, our first suspicions were the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (SEBIN).
It appears to be another group that has ties to Venezuela. To understand this relationship, we must take a brief trip back to the past. In 2008 The Cuban government signed an agreement with the Venezuelan government.
According to the documents reviewed by Reuters, the agreements, signed in May 2008, allowed Cuba's armed forces to:
- Train soldiers in Venezuela
- Review and restructure parts of the Venezuelan military
- Train Venezuelan intelligence agents in Havana
- And change the intelligence service's mission from spying on foreign rivals to surveilling the country's own soldiers, officers, and even senior commanders.
The first agreement, according to the documents, would prepare Venezuelan intelligence agents to "discover and confront the subversive work of the enemy." The second agreement authorized Cuban officials to oversee the "assimilation" and "modernization" of Venezuela's military.
Now that we understand the history between the two countries, let’s look at some recent developments:
March 14th, 2025 ICE arrests former Cuban intelligence officer for allegedly obtaining legal status through fraudulent means " During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Hernandez Cruz was a member of Cuban intelligence at various high-level posts overseas. Hernandez Cruz knowingly and willfully withheld his true position and profession within the Cuban Communist Party to deliberately deceive U.S. authorities when he applied for and obtained his LPR status. (Press Release)
April 2nd, 2025. Cuban national sentenced to nearly a decade in federal prison for human smuggling "According to court documents, Humberto Yosvany Arriola-Rivero, 30, assisted in the harboring of illegal aliens and managed a stash house in El Paso. He also was an occupant in a vehicle that fled law enforcement that was transporting more than a dozen illegal aliens in April 2023. An investigation revealed that Arriola-Rivero sexually assaulted one of the illegal aliens at the El Paso stash house." (Press Release)
April 14th, 2025. ICE arrests alleged member of Cuba’s Ministry of the Interior. "Morejon Garcia allegedly served as the President of the National Defense Council in the Artemisa region of Cuba and being a member of the Rapid Response Brigades. These groups, composed of civilians trained and organized by the government, are designed to assist authorities during incidents of social unrest, protests, or disturbances. Authorities allege that Morejon Garcia was activated by the Cuban government during the island-wide protests on July 11, 2021. In that role, there was evidence of Morejon Garcia assaulting protesters as part of his duties." (Press Release)
How does this tie into the recent Colorado Raid on 4/27/25? Referencing @Virginia_Allen5 post on 5/2/25. Three Cuban Nationals were captured and arrested in the raid.
Idianay Hernandez-Jorrin - Hernandez, 26, is from Cuba and is facing pending charges for theft of between $100,000 to $1,000,000 and “assault-2 drugging a victim.” ERO Denver issued her a Notice to Appear, and she will remain in custody pending her immigration proceedings.
Alexander Bordado-Valdes - Bordado, 45, is from Cuba and, according to ERO Denver, claims to be part of “a Cuban group dealing with credit card skimming, fuel theft, and illegal marijuana growth in Colorado.”
Armando Martinez-Moreno - Martinez, a 34-year-old from Cuba, was paroled into the U.S. in 2022 and was given a notice to appear, but never reported to an ICE office. According to ERO Denver, he has a criminal rap sheet that includes an active case for robbery, harassment, and theft
In previous discussions, we knew the Tren De Aragua had established alliances with certain Cartel groups, which is also mentioned in the thread above and the sources below. However, this highlights another alliance with a country that helped train and develop the current intelligence protocols for Venezuela. This provides clues as to where Venezuelan or Tren De Aragua operatives may be hiding out currently.
Among those in the Cuban community with ties to Cuban Intelligence operatives. While their crimes are highlighted above, it would be interesting to see if there is some connection to other members within the Cuban criminal underworld.
